Students explore how the five senses help us understand, interpret, and navigate the world.
Through inquiry, problem‑solving, collaboration, and creative reflection, learners investigate how seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching work together to shape human experience.
Across four Depth Education domains, students are encouraged to:
- Investigate scientific sources and sensory evidence
- Analyse how the senses connect to safety, communication, and daily life
- Design solutions to real‑world sensory challenges
- Collaborate to deepen understanding of perception and diversity
- Reflect on identity, imagination, and how the brain interprets information
Ideal for gifted learners or independent research tasks, these activities build scientific literacy, creativity, and critical thinking.
They can be used as fast‑finisher tasks, fortnightly enrichment, or extended homework projects.
