The Great Christmas Thinking Challenge is a printable choice board built for Years 3–6 HPGE students, with 12 open-ended tasks organised around four thinking domains: Deep Library, Idea Forge, Knowledge Garden and Mind Observatory.
Students choose one task from each row, so they stretch their thinking in reading and language, creating and designing, research and investigation, and critical thinking. The tasks have an Australian twist, including designing a game for a hot summer Christmas, investigating why traditions differ around the world and judging whether popular Christmas “facts” are really true.
